Intellectt Inc is a leading provider of automation solutions for the medical device industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Develop and Implement Automation Systems:** Design, develop, and implement automation systems for medical device manufacturing processes using Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLC programming.
  • **Integrate and Configure Vision Systems:** Integrate and configure Cognex Vision Systems for quality inspection, defect detection, and process control in a regulated environment.
  • **Validate Automation Systems:** Design, develop, and execute IQ, OQ, PQ protocols for automation systems and equipment to ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and other regulatory standards.
  • **Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Production, and Engineering, to define system requirements and specifications.
  • **Perform Risk Assessments:** Perform risk assessments, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Hazard Analysis to ensure safe and efficient system operations.
  • **Provide Technical Support:** Provide technical support for the installation, calibration, and validation of automated equipment.
  • **Maintain and Update Documentation:** Maintain and update automation documentation, including software design specifications, validation protocols, and user manuals.
  • **Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues:** Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
  • **Train and Mentor Personnel:** Train and mentor production and maintenance personnel on automated systems and ensure proper operation and maintenance.
  • **Stay Current with New Technologies:** Stay current with new automation technologies, tools, and best practices relevant to medical device manufacturing.
Qualifications:
  • **Bachelor's Degree:** Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLC programming, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • **Cognex Vision Systems:** Proven experience with Cognex Vision Systems, including setup, programming, and validation.
  • **IQ, OQ, PQ Processes:** Strong understanding of IQ, OQ, PQ processes and regulatory requirements for the medical device industry.
  • **GMP, FDA, and ISO Standards:** Hands-on experience with GMP, FDA, and ISO standards related to medical device manufacturing.
  • **Automation Software Tools:** Proficiency in using automation software tools such as RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, and VisionPro.
  • **HMI/SCADA Systems:** Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and data acquisition software.
  • **Problem-solving Skills:** Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • **Communication Skills:** Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • **Experience with Other Automation Systems:** Experience with other automation systems and equipment commonly used in the medical device industry.
  • **Lean Manufacturing Principles:** Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
  • **Project Management:** Experience in project management and the ability to lead automation projects from concept to implementation.
