Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
The International Rescue Committee is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to provide administrative support to our Sacramento office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our staff in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Administration: Provide administrative support to the office, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records.
- Customer Service: Greet clients, visitors, and donors with a high degree of professionalism, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
- Logistics Support: Assist with ordering office supplies, equipment, and services, and ensure the smooth functioning of office infrastructure.
- Event Planning: Assist with planning and coordinating office events and meetings, and provide support to staff with day-to-day office administration.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between staff, clients, and external partners, and provide interpretation services as needed.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues, and escalate more complex issues to the Operations Coordinator.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with staff to achieve team goals, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- Education: College degree preferred, or equivalent years of related work experience.
- Experience: At least 2 years' relevant work experience in office administration, human resources, facilities management, procurement, or a related field.
- Skills: Tech-savvy, ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues, exceptional communication and organizational abilities, and ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
Work Environment:
This role requires working from the office 5 days per week, and the ability to safely lift 25 lbs.
