Position Overview:

As the Franchised Hotel General Manager, you will serve as the primary strategic leader for the property, overseeing all operational aspects to ensure optimal performance and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall management of property performance, including food and beverage operations, sales and marketing strategies, and human resources activities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies aimed at exceeding guest expectations and delivering a solid return on investment.
  • Provide timely feedback to management and staff regarding service and operational standards.
  • Establish clear lines of responsibility for the management team, ensuring effective coverage and oversight.
  • Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager and Revenue Manager to create and execute a robust sales strategy.
  • Innovate ways to generate new revenue streams through property amenities.
  • Analyze and communicate property performance metrics, including financial data, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement.
  • Manage relationships with the revenue management team, participating in strategy meetings and routine calls.
  • Conduct daily Human Resource transactions to support property needs, including hiring requisitions and performance management.
  • Ensure ongoing development and coaching of management staff.
  • Actively recruit and hire qualified associates to enhance team performance.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about property performance in financials, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of professionalism and a welcoming demeanor, with a strong focus on financial management to ensure profitability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a solid background in customer service and marketing, are essential.

Requirements include:

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in guest services, management operations, or related areas.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience in payroll and inventory cost controls.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills.
  • Experience with Marriott is preferred.

Compensation: Salary is negotiable based on experience.
