Job Overview

The Financial Operations Accountant will be responsible for executing all accounts receivable duties, overseeing payroll functions, and providing support in benefits administration along with various financial tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate invoices in accordance with company protocols and ensure timely submission to clients.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to authorize Credit Memos when necessary.
  • Maintain and refresh customer records, ensuring all contact information is current.
  • Coordinate with production teams to manage orders that are on credit hold.
  • Conduct regular credit assessments as required.
  • Adhere to established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Engage with external auditors, supplying necessary documentation for the annual audit process.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reports as mandated.
  • Support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Act as a backup for accounts payable functions.
  • Facilitate the collections process as needed.
  • Oversee all payroll operations.
  • Provide assistance to Human Resources in managing time and attendance records.
  • Verify the accuracy of monthly benefit invoices.
  • Contribute to special projects and analytical tasks as requested by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with ERP systems.
  • Capability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive in anticipating work requirements and maintaining professional interactions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Aptitude for following both verbal and written directives.
Educational Background:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience is required.
Work Environment:
  • The role is performed in a climate-controlled office.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing while utilizing a computer.
