About the Role

Aon is seeking an experienced Account Specialist II to join our team. As an Account Specialist II, you will be responsible for managing key processes that serve clients, including complex clients, and undertaking client-facing and internal activities related to these processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain effective and positive relationships with clients, serving independently in a client-facing capacity on matters of moderate importance and complexity.
  • Submission Assembly and Creation: Perform submission assembly/creation where assigned, facilitating the timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members.
  • Client Open Items and Requests: Handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyze data, drafting assigned elements of stewardship reports and other convincing presentations tailored to the needs of the audience and the circumstances of the presentation.
  • Renewal Process Support: Actively support and monitor the renewal process, including drafting quote comparisons and following up for binders, policies, and endorsements.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with Aon Client Services (ACS), coordinating activities of the client service team and ACS to ensure that key processes assigned are performed optimally and quality of client deliverables.
  • Premium Accounting Collaboration: Primary collaborator with Premium Accounting on client billing matters.
  • Coverage Inquiries and Endorsements: Receive and manage routine and sophisticated coverage inquiries and endorsement requests, serving as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, Worker's Compensation posting notices, allocations, premium finance agreements, summaries of insurance, and policy transmittals.
  • Aon Leadership Model: Understand and work in alignment with the Aon Leadership Model and its pillars of Client Value, Unmatched Teams, Innovation, Results, and Values.
  • Best Practices and Resources: Understand best practices and leverage available resources, including centers of excellence (COEs) and Aon Client Services.
  • Tools and Technology: Ensure tools are understood and used.
  • Invoice Generation and Collections: Monitor and follow-up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections, addressing and resolving problems.
  • Guidance and Mentoring: May provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist, delegating work to support staff and ACS where applicable.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
  • Insurance Experience: Insurance experience preferred.
  • Brokers License: Brokers license preferred, or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
