Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a solid understanding of essential full-cycle accounting practices.
- Prepare journal entries for client accounts with accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable for client accounts efficiently.
- Gather and input vendor expenses for client accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledgers for client accounts.
- Process employee timesheets and oversee the client payroll system.
- Prepare and remit payroll, sales, and franchise taxes for clients.
- Generate invoices for clients and customers.
- Handle accounts receivable for client accounts.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client information.
- Support research efforts in transaction review processes.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements promptly and accurately.
- Compile the completed trial balance, including necessary supporting documentation.
- Consistently demonstrate attention to detail and professionalism.
- Show a keen interest in understanding business transactions and related matters.
- Willingness to travel to local clients as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of bookkeeping experience.
- An accounting degree is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is essential.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Outlook, and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with clients.
- Capability to work on-site as needed.
