About the Team

The team is dedicated to understanding trauma's effects and providing residents and their families with effective solutions for positive outcomes and stability.

We foster a nurturing, home-like atmosphere that emphasizes daily experiences and essential life skills.


Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will deliver essential support within a trauma-informed therapeutic setting that enhances the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents while aiding them in developing crucial life skills.


Main Duties
  • Oversee the comprehensive care of residents, focusing on health, hygiene, education, and emotional well-being.
  • Foster a trauma-informed atmosphere by recognizing the impacts of trauma and responding to residents and their families with empathy and respect.
  • Collaborate with the therapeutic staff to uphold the residential philosophy and program protocols.
  • Supervise resident interactions and activities, actively participating in structured and unstructured recreational and life skill development activities.
  • Apply agency and individualized behavior management practices, utilizing trauma-sensitive techniques to monitor and document resident situations and statuses.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies in line with established policies and training, ensuring non-violent physical interventions are used only when necessary for safety.

Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with children and/or adolescents; experience in a residential setting is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time-management abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse population.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Authorization for a motor vehicle records check is necessary.
  • Must pass all background checks and medical clearances for the position.

Physical Requirements

This role involves sitting, standing, walking, driving, and lifting up to 25 lbs. It also requires the use of desktop and mobile devices for communication with colleagues.


Travel Requirements

Statewide travel is required.
