Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Global Liability Underwriter based in Chicago.

Your Team
The North American Liability division delivers a comprehensive suite of general and specialized national account liability insurance options. These solutions can be offered through tailored primary policies, umbrella and excess coverage, or global insurance frameworks addressing multiple risks across various locations. Our clientele is diverse, encompassing sectors such as manufacturing, construction, real estate, retail, and technology.

Your Contributions
As a Global Liability Underwriter, reporting to the Multinational Practice Leader, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our Multinational Liability portfolio through effective underwriting practices, strategic marketing, and collaboration with other Allianz Commercial (AzC) divisions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead marketing efforts through proactive outreach, relationship building with brokers and clients.
  • Employ analytical skills to evaluate, select, and assess risks critically.
  • Collaborate with Risk Consultants and Claims teams to devise innovative solutions for our clients' evolving challenges.
  • Manage risk appetite and profitability while underwriting new and renewal multinational accounts, negotiating terms with broker partners.
  • Utilize negotiation and communication skills to enhance the experience for underwriters, brokers, and clients throughout the engagement process.
  • Facilitate the issuance of foreign local policies for global insurance programs in partnership with AzC colleagues globally.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, technical expertise, and support.
  • Ensure distinctive client value is provided through all service interactions.
  • Engage in significant projects that influence the outcomes of International Liability.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the multinational insurance landscape, including products, services, and emerging trends.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in multinational liability or a combination of multinational liability and risk management.
  • Technical proficiency with the capability to analyze complex data from various sources.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid model (minimum of 2 days in the office).
The annual base salary for this role ranges from $117,582 to $201,500, reflecting a nationwide market range. The actual compensation may vary based on several factors, including the role's complexity, location, and the candidate's qualifications and experience. This base salary is just one aspect of the comprehensive compensation package offered by AzC, which includes performance-based cash incentives.
