We are seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented insurance professional to lead the development and execution of a new professional liability product within our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to build and maintain a profitable book of business.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the strategy for a new professional liability product, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Lead the drafting of policy wording and key coverages, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with actuaries to develop rates and underwriting standards, driving profitable decision-making.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers in the MPL space, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Analyze data to inform business decisions, recognizing market trends and cycles.
- Work closely with various disciplines, including actuary, finance, claims, operations, and legal, to drive business success.

About YouWe are looking for an experienced insurance professional with a strong background in MPL underwriting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for building and maintaining relationships.
- 7+ years of experience in MPL underwriting, with a strong understanding of risk and opportunities.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze data and drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, organization, time management, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to attract and retain top talent.
- Confident with basic data analytics, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Domestic travel is required, with occasional international travel. We offer a hybrid work model, with a balance of remote and in-office work. The role is open to Chicago, IL or Kansas City, MO office locations, with potential for other locations for a qualified individual.
