Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager

Eaton's Mobility Group is seeking a seasoned Continuous Improvement Manager to lead our Vehicle Group North America (VGNA) Commercial Vehicle division towards operational excellence.

This role may be based at our Southfield, MI (preferred); Kings Mountain (Charlotte area), NC (preferred), or South Bend, IN facility.

Relocation assistance is available. Travel up to 50% will be required within the US and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) across four manufacturing sites in US and Mexico.
  • Leverage Lean/Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Framework strategies to improve competitiveness and organizational capability to meet both short- and long-term goals.
  • Advance manufacturing processes through new automation and Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the division and drive business results.
  • Lead and mentor a small team directly, as well as lead and mentor other members of the CI organization within the individual sites.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing/Operations, Continuous Improvement, and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Formal training/certification in Lean (5S, Standard work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Setup Reduction (SUR), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Material Flow (LMF) and 6 Sigma with at least 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience managing/leading others in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct people management experience.
  • Operations, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence ownership within a multi-site operation preferred.
  • Understanding of best-in-class manufacturing within a complex, multinational organization.
