Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a culture of continuous improvement across four manufacturing sites in the US and Mexico.
  • Leverage Lean/Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Framework strategies to improve competitiveness and organizational capability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results and advance our capabilities through new automation and Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Manage a small team directly and lead and mentor other members of the CI organization within individual sites.
  • Coach and support plants in developing CI roadmaps and setting stretch goals to support the organization's strategy for model plant status.
  • Conduct Eaton Lean System (ELS) assessments and identify performance gaps, working with leadership teams to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps.
  • Lead improvement activities, including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, and more.
  • Support Site Leadership in the selection of Site CI leaders and provide key input to identify potential candidates for CI certification programs.
  • Lead the division in all Eaton business internal audit requirements, ensuring plant teams are prepared.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing/Operations, Continuous Improvement, and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Formal training/certification in Lean (5S, Standard work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Setup Reduction (SUR), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Material Flow (LMF) and 6 Sigma with at least 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience managing/leading others in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct people management experience.
  • Operations, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence ownership within a multi-site operation preferred.
  • Understanding of best-in-class manufacturing within a complex, multinational organization.
  • Experience in the automotive industry a plus.
