Facilities Maintenance Leader - 1st and 2nd Shift Available

Contract Duration: 90 Days with Potential for Extension

Per Diem: $40/day for meals

Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Leader is tasked with supervising the maintenance functions within the manufacturing environment, ensuring optimal performance of all machinery and systems. This position requires the management of a team of maintenance professionals, scheduling and directing preventive maintenance tasks, and collaborating with various departments to reduce downtime and enhance production efficiency. The Facilities Maintenance Leader is essential in fostering a safe workplace and ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.

Key Duties:

  • Delegate and prioritize maintenance assignments, ensuring effective resource utilization and prompt completion of service requests.
  • Conduct regular assessments of team performance, offering constructive feedback and identifying training needs.
  • Supervise daily maintenance operations, including diagnostics, repairs, and preventive upkeep of production machinery and facility systems.
  • Guarantee that all maintenance activities comply with safety protocols, corporate policies, and industry regulations.
  • Oversee the inventory management of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that all machinery and systems are adequately maintained, calibrated, and operating efficiently.
  • Uphold safety standards and procedures, ensuring that all maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to maintenance processes and equipment performance.
  • Adopt best practices and continuous improvement strategies to boost the reliability and efficiency of maintenance operations.
  • Maintain precise records of maintenance activities, including service requests, maintenance logs, and equipment performance metrics.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to equipment and maintenance tasks is current and easily accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. A Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity, ideally within the commercial vehicle or automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems utilized in manufacturing.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with a proven track record of developing and inspiring team members.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the commercial vehicle manufacturing sector.
  • Certification in maintenance management or a related field.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
