Job Summary:
This is a fast-paced management position that requires experience in inventory control, storing, receiving, picking, packing, and motivating individuals within a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Logistics/Inventory Coordinator, MSW Lead, Receiver, and Shift Supervisors to ensure department goals are met.
- Perform daily production, employee, and safety checks.
- Monitor workplace performance, training initiatives, and safety procedures.
- Establish and create new KPIs and standards for various processes within the department.
- Understand, comply, promote, and enforce STI policies.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping essential to the production and quality of our woven fabrics.
- Maintain confidential records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Managerial experience.
- Associates/Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/education related to the industry/position.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to lift yarn packages weighing up to 12 lbs and maneuver yarn cases weighing up to 200 lbs with hand trucks.
- Obtain all required safety and training certifications.
- Able to continuously walk, bend, push, pull, stoop, stretch (arms and legs), and lift arms above head level while standing on a cement floor.
Safety:
- Hearing protection (when in required manufacturing areas) (company provided).
- Safety glasses (when in required manufacturing areas) (company provided).
- Use of proper lifting procedures.
