Position Overview
The Warehouse Operations Manager is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role that demands expertise in inventory management, receiving, storing, and shipping processes. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to inspire and guide team members in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Attention to detail, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Logistics/Inventory Coordinator, MSW Lead, Receiver, and Shift Supervisors to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.
- Conduct daily assessments of production, employee performance, and safety protocols.
- Evaluate workplace efficiency, training programs, and safety measures.
- Develop and implement new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and standards for various processes within the warehouse.
- Promote adherence to company policies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Safeguard confidential information and maintain accurate records.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills
- Lead and manage all departmental functions while setting a positive example for team members.
- Demonstrate effective communication and time management skills to plan and direct teams.
Equipment Utilized
All relevant warehouse machinery and tools, including lifts, trucks, and general office equipment.
Qualifications
Proven managerial experience is required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in a related field, is preferred. A valid driver's license is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to read and write are essential. Candidates must be capable of lifting packages weighing up to 12 lbs and maneuvering cases weighing up to 200 lbs with hand trucks. Compliance with safety training and certifications is mandatory.
