Job Summary:

As a key member of the Blachford Acoustics Group team, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, manage projects, and ensure compliance with quality management systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and systems, including design control, process control, and lean manufacturing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, including cost reduction initiatives and cost of quality measurables.
  • Project Management: Manage and delegate projects, including APQP, design control, process control, and installation and maintenance of manufacturing software.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and management, to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Administrative Functions: Perform administrative functions, including drafting reports and managing project documentation.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing settings, with a background in rubber processing, extrusion, and molding.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, root cause analysis, and risk assessments. Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in CAD software, FANUC software, and programming.
