Job Summary

The Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Administrator I - Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our accounting services section, you will be responsible for managing, planning, directing, and supervising the activities of professional, semi-professional, and technical staff within the Cashiering Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the Cashiering Unit, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis strategies to optimize departmental operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including accounting and budgeting tools.
