About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team at MSC Industrial Direct. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with medium-sized manufacturing and non-manufacturing customers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within these organizations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute sales strategies and plans
  • Utilize sales and prospecting techniques to identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • Develop and deliver compelling value-based proposals and presentations to customers
  • Negotiate and close business deals to meet or exceed sales targets
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing sales
  • Proven track record of success in sales and prospecting
  • Strong knowledge of sales and prospecting techniques, including value-based sales methodologies
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
