Procurement Analyst
As a key player in our organization, the Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing all sourcing and procurement activities within their designated unit. This role is essential in supporting stakeholders by guiding the initiation, management, and completion of the procure-to-pay process and supplier contract lifecycles. The analyst will oversee all facets of procurement operations, which include requisition initiation, purchase order creation, contract needs assessment, contract requests, goods receipt, invoice tracking, and financial reporting to ensure compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA). Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer's office and collaborating closely with the assigned department, the Procurement Analyst plays a crucial role in resolving purchasing and invoicing challenges. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage all procurement and sourcing activities for the assigned unit.
- Lead the initiation, management, and completion of the procure-to-pay and supplier contract processes.
- Oversee all aspects of procurement operations, including requisition initiation, purchase order creation, contract needs assessment, contract requests, goods receipt, invoice tracking, and necessary financial reporting to ensure compliance with SLAs.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in procurement sourcing, collaborating with internal stakeholders to effectively address complex invoice payment issues.
- Develop and analyze reports related to procurement expenditures across various non-compensation categories.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 2 to 4 years of pertinent professional experience.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, transactional support, and procurement processes.
- Ability to communicate and interpret university policies to diverse stakeholders.
- Skill in triaging and escalating complex issues to appropriate team leads or departments.
- Proficiency in determining suitable processes and payment methods for expenditures.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and data analysis, with a willingness to enhance these skills.
- Ability to generate and utilize system reports for financial management tasks.
- Willingness to acquire new skills and adapt to evolving environments.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in procurement.
Work Mode Designation
This position is designated as Hybrid 3 Days. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the organization. Such reviews may necessitate changes to a position's work designation.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is:
$47, $87,558.13
Compensation is influenced by various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, skills, and the organization's needs.
