Job Summary

This position provides licensed administrative support to financial consultants at Thrivent Financial. The role serves as a resource to financial advisors and clients in handling inquiries regarding their accounts and insurance needs. The position supports the daily operations of the practice, including tasks such as answering inquiries, researching customer accounts, and communicating with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming inquiries and respond to requests for information
  • Research customer accounts and provide fund values and answers to insurance-related questions
  • Perform routine administrative duties such as maintaining office supplies and processing mail
  • Prepare or coordinate the preparation of routine correspondence, reports, and special projects
  • Support projects, administration of various programs, and processing functions as needed
  • Drive customer-facing activities in the practice by scheduling meetings with clients on behalf of financial advisors
  • Update the contact management system with client contact and preference information
  • Assist financial advisors in the preparation for and follow-up from client meetings
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to assist clients with insurance product changes
  • Participate in and drive marketing services, including direct-mail, fraternal activities, seminars, and meetings
  • Explain, discuss, or interpret insurance contracts
  • Communicate with clients regarding coverage and issue certificates of insurance, endorsements, binders, commitments, or insurance contracts
Requirements
  • Previous administrative or secretarial experience desired
  • Must be insurance licensed and appointed in all states where performing activities requiring licensing
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and experience, 2+ years preferred
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive and confidential information
  • Basic understanding of Thrivent Financial's products and services
