Veterinary Customer Service Representative / Receptionist

As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), your role will involve engaging with clients, promoting our services, and ensuring a seamless experience for both pets and their owners. You will be responsible for managing client interactions and facilitating the flow of patients through our facility.

  • Greet clients and their pets, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist clients by documenting pet histories and entering relevant information into our management system.
  • Guide clients and pets through the facility to optimize care and efficiency.
  • Address client inquiries via phone and in-person, directing them to the appropriate veterinary staff as needed.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits with the veterinary team.
  • Provide clients with necessary information and instructions upon their departure.
  • Handle transactions and manage cash flow accurately.
  • Resolve client concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Promote a collaborative environment that enhances the quality of care for pets.
  • Adhere to all operational policies and standards of care.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills and experience.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

A minimum of one year of experience in veterinary, healthcare, or customer service is preferred.

Work Environment:

This position requires regular communication and interaction with clients and pets. Team members must be able to work on their feet for extended periods and handle various physical tasks. Exposure to animals and cleaning agents is common.
