Position Overview

This role is essential in delivering a superior, professional, and friendly customer interaction while executing a diverse range of financial transactions. The representative ensures accuracy in processing transactions in accordance with established guidelines, policies, and compliance standards. By leveraging knowledge of financial products and services, the representative actively identifies customer needs and opportunities for referrals to other team members or business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and professionally processes a variety of transactions following bank protocols:
    • Verifies transactions for proper authorization, signatures, and availability of funds
    • Ensures compliance with bank policies regarding check cashing and customer safety
    • Conducts precise cash verifications for all transactions
    • Handles personal and commercial deposits, withdrawals, and payments through various channels
    • Assists customers with requests for cashier's checks, savings bonds, and credit card cash advances
    • Collects necessary information for closing or paying off deposit and loan accounts
  • Completes customer requests such as account changes, online banking enrollment, debit card issuance, and direct deposit setups.
  • Utilizes product expertise to identify and recommend suitable customer solutions:
    • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of consumer and business banking products
    • Is proficient in all digital banking services
    • Actively listens to customer inquiries and seeks opportunities for referrals
  • Engages in collaborative coaching with peers to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Responsible for completing, scanning, and balancing transactions while maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Addresses customer complaints professionally and seeks effective resolutions.
  • Participates in team meetings by sharing insights, best practices, and success stories.
  • Accurately completes required reports.
  • Performs vault responsibilities as necessary.
  • Shares effective practices learned from other locations.
  • Adheres to and maintains knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including compliance training essential for the role.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is expected.

    Qualifications –
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in banking is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Capability to stand for extended periods
