The role of Safety Compliance Specialist encompasses auditing, analyzing, and validating information for precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Compliance Management:

  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in field operations, including OSHA, ATSSA, and local regulations.
  • Address safety, quality, and compliance issues in designated areas.
  • Promptly report incidents and maintain comprehensive safety records.
  • Conduct internal audits and communicate findings to the Leadership Team.
  • Audit various teams and foster a culture of safety through engagement and demonstration of Core Values.

Training and Development:

  • Assist in site-specific training and recommend additional training as necessary.
  • Support management with training documentation.
  • Provide clear guidance and share best practices.
  • Participate in site meetings and training programs.

Auditing Procedures:

  • Conduct inspections to identify and rectify unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Develop, enforce, and review the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program.
  • Perform safety audits, including inspections of fall protection equipment and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Effectively communicate incidents, near misses, and job-related concerns.
  • Manage employee incident/injury documentation and follow-up in collaboration with safety professionals.
  • Assist in investigating incidents and injuries to determine causes and implement corrective measures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in construction, preferably with an Electrical background and knowledge of NFPA 70e
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • CPR/AED First Aid certification
  • BCSP certification (CHST, ASP, or CSP) and OSHA 510 certification
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety procedures to employees
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and NFPA 70e guidelines
  • Ability to cultivate a positive work environment
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel)

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily in an indoor office setting
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when required with short notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, and communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility within office, warehouse, and construction site environments
  • Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Some travel may be necessary
