Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as maintaining and monitoring employee safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies

Design and implement safety policies and procedures that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.

Conduct Safety Inspections and Risk Assessments

Regularly conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Coordinate Employee Safety Training

Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, ongoing safety education, and emergency response training.

Manage Driver Safety and Compliance

Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers, re-training of drivers, and ensuring compliance with A-1 Inspection procedures.

Maintain Driver Files and Records

Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files, including Port Authority/Customs identifications, State inspections, registrations, and Insurance IDs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to Obtain Airport SIDA Badge and CBP Customs Seal
  • 3-5 Years of Safety Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong Analytical, Verbal, Written, Interpersonal, and Organizational Skills
  • Ability to Work with Minimum Supervision
  • Flexibility to Work Nights and Weekends
