Project Management Officer

As an integral member of the Land 400-2 team, the Project Management Officer plays a vital role in representing the production interests of the Rheinmetall entity within the global Rheinmetall network.
About the Role
The Project Management Officer is tasked with overseeing production aspects related to the finalization of the Boxer CRV vehicle at the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE).
This role involves collaboration with both onsite and international teams, including development, program, project, production, and material teams, to ensure the compliant, controlled, and timely delivery of Boxer vehicles to the Commonwealth of Australia (COA).
The position reports directly to the Director of Operations Planning and Control.

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
- Background in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process) or a related field;
- Prior experience in a Production or Process Engineering role, preferably within the Automotive sector;
- Strong understanding of complex vehicle production systems, including quality systems, assembly, and testing requirements;
- Proven ability to influence outcomes within complex global matrix organizations;
- Natural aptitude for building networks across diverse cultures and disciplines;
- Experience in project management;
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail;
- Experience using Root Cause Analysis tools to identify and mitigate issues;
- Proficiency in advanced MS Office applications (Word, Excel - including Gantt charts, macros, and pivot tables, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook);
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed;
- Eligibility for obtaining an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
