The Director of Human Resources Operations will play a critical role in enhancing internal processes and systems to drive greater efficiency and support the organization's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives.
- Manage Employee Life Cycle: Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including new hire processing, onboarding, employee benefits, and exits.
- Build Dashboards and Reporting Capabilities: Design and implement dashboards and reporting capabilities to provide transparency and access to information and metrics for HR and business leaders.
- Lead the HR Team: Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, sharing knowledge and expertise to develop others and drive business results.
- Partner with Benefits Broker: Collaborate with the benefits broker to review and analyze benefit plans to ensure compliance and equity.
- Assist with Budget Management: Assist the SVP, Human Resources with budget management and HR team meetings/action items.
- Identify Opportunities for Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Interface with Finance and Other Stakeholders: Collaborate with finance and other key stakeholders to ensure effective payroll operations, tracking data changes, and audit of regular payroll reports.
- Maintain Knowledge of Legal Requirements: Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of colleagues and ensure compliance.
- Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures, including maintaining and updating the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and other critical People-related policies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, HR, or related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of people operations experience, with 5-7 years in small biotech companies preferred.
- Project Management Expertise: Proven project management expertise to successfully complete projects and achieve quality and timely results in a fast-paced work environment.
- Effective Communication and Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively communicate and manage project stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
- Design and Implementation Experience: Experience in process enhancement, performance management, reporting, and compensation.
- Enterprise Systems and Technology: Experience using various enterprise systems and technology with an understanding of broad data/information flow.
- Business Acumen: Ability to understand and identify business needs and translate those to practical solutions.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work individually and in a rapidly changing team environment.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize projects and workload, working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive approach and demeanor.
