Position Summary

The Information Technology Manager is tasked with overseeing the management of the organization's technological resources and infrastructure while leading a team of IT specialists. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise and managerial experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the overall IT strategy to align with the organization's business goals, ensuring effective implementation and maintenance.
  • Supervise the ESI department staff by recruiting, training, and mentoring employees, setting clear job expectations, and evaluating their performance.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and upkeep of the organization's IT infrastructure, which includes servers, network systems, and desktop environments.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data, network access, and backup systems.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain the organization's competitive edge.
  • Identify issues and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner.
  • Develop and oversee the IT department's budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Provide reports on IT operations and performance metrics to executive and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to IT, including data privacy laws.
  • Design, develop, implement, coordinate, and maintain systems, policies, and procedures, including disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant IT experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Windows and VMWare environments.
  • Experience managing complex IT projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience in implementing security measures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a talent for managing and motivating a team.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to IT, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or MCSE are advantageous.
  • Experience in cloud computing and migration processes.
  • Experience managing enterprise-level applications, such as ERP or CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on call 24/7.
  • Ability to commute to the corporate office.
  • Multi-limb and eye-hand coordination.
  • Able to stand, bend, reach, stoop, and lift boxes up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to sit at a desk, working on a computer for a full workday.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks with organization and efficiency.
