This role will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the daily operations of gift administration, including gift processing, gift accounting, and gift compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full scope of gift processing to ensure accurate and timely creation of funds and donation processing.
  • Oversee the intake and recording of philanthropic gifts, payments, and pledges to Morehouse College.
  • Ensure accurate and timely receipting of gifts within 24 hours.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Business and Finance to create, manage, and reconcile new and existing funds.
  • Manage pledge reminders and ensure timely notification of donors.
  • Lead matching gifts, including documenting matching gift program protocols and tracking fulfillment of matches.
  • Oversee the month-end and annual reconciliation of gifts received.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports to ensure continuous learning and growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Four+ years of relevant work experience in non-profit gift administration, finance, or similar experience.
  • Through knowledge of gift administration, including gift processing, gift accounting, and gift compliance.
  • Knowledge of IRS and CASE guidelines as it pertains to the processing and receipting of gifts.
  • Experience in effectively managing and leading direct reports and teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a Higher Education environment.
  • Knowledge of Ascend or another fundraising CRM.
  • Experience with nonprofit and/or fundraising campaigns.
