Job Title:

Director of Digital Transformation

Job Summary:

The City of Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Digital Transformation to lead the Office of Digital Transformation (ODT). This role will provide strategic direction and oversight of the ODT, which includes Data & Analytics, Innovation, Intelligent City, and Digital User Experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and operationalize the City of Atlanta's Smart City ecosystem and strategy development.
  • Provide leadership in establishing and operationalizing the COA Data Management & Analytics strategy.
  • Work internally and externally to develop strategy and roadmap for enhancing user experiences.
  • Employ strategic tools to develop and assess technological options, ensure logical reasoning, and advance experiences.
  • Provide program oversight to the ODT and senior leadership teams in the implementation of the City of Atlanta's innovation initiatives.
  • Identify, lead, and manage approaches to business challenges and work with teams across the City to deliver data insights.
  • Provide oversight for governance of projects, performance measurement, and portfolio management.
  • Manage complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, engineering, or an applicable field of study (equivalent professional experience and/or certifications will be considered).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in related and relevant technology disciplines.
  • Minimum of 7 years of advancing IT leadership required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 5 or more years working in public sector environment.
