Position Overview:

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University is seeking applications for multiple full-time, career-track Associate Professor roles in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver undergraduate courses with a focus on either signal processing, circuit theory, and digital communications or microelectronic circuits and devices, including Analog IC design and embedded systems.
  • Engage in curriculum development and participate in ongoing teaching assessment initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and effective communication with students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to student recruitment efforts and collaborate with colleagues within the School and the University.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of teaching experience, particularly in laboratory-based courses.
  • A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and diversity in the student body.
  • Leadership qualities appropriate for the rank of Associate Professor, along with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Published research in relevant areas of expertise.

Preferred:

  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses across various levels.
  • Evidence of expertise in program assessment and continuous improvement.
  • Regular contributions to research publications.
