Position Overview:

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University is seeking applications for two full-time, continuous, career-track associate professor roles in the field of Electrical Engineering. These positions are designed for candidates with a strong commitment to teaching and research.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate courses with a focus on specific areas such as signal processing, circuit theory, digital communications, microelectronic circuits, and embedded systems.
  • Engage in curriculum development and continuous assessment of teaching effectiveness.
  • Mentor and interact with students, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support student recruitment initiatives and collaborate with faculty and staff within the School and University.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of teaching experience, particularly in laboratory-based courses.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and diversity in education.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills appropriate for the rank of Associate Professor.
  • Evidence of published research in relevant fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses.
  • Experience in program assessment and continuous improvement.
  • Track record of research publications.
