Position Summary:
SEL Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking skilled, detail-oriented professionals for the role of Commissioning Project Specialist. This position is integral to our operations and will be based at our headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
The Commissioning Project Specialist will be expected to:
- Understand and implement the essential principles of power system commissioning and site acceptance testing.
- Utilize knowledge of system protection, software integration, industrial controls, and relevant industry protocols such as IEC-61850, DNP, and Modbus.
- Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics related to control system logic and communications.
- Provide training and support to clients in the design, configuration, and operation of electric power protection and automation systems.
- Ensure all assigned projects are completed within the defined scope, timeline, and budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Assist in preparing functional design specifications and maintaining comprehensive design documentation.
- Support marketing, sales, application engineering, and development initiatives.
- Continuously assess and enhance engineering processes within the company.
Travel Requirements:
This role requires significant travel, approximately 70% of the time, to various client locations across the country.
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $108,100 annually.
