Position Overview:

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University is seeking candidates for two full-time, career-track associate professor roles in the field of Electrical Engineering. These positions are designed for individuals with a strong commitment to teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver undergraduate courses in various areas of Electrical Engineering.
  • Engage in curriculum design and development.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of teaching effectiveness.
  • Mentor and support students in their academic journeys.
  • Contribute to student recruitment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff within the School and across the University.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of teaching experience, particularly in laboratory settings.
  • A demonstrated commitment to educational excellence and diversity in the student body.
  • Strong leadership skills appropriate for the rank of Associate Professor.
  • Proven record of research publications in relevant fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses across various levels.
  • Evidence of expertise in program evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • History of periodic research contributions through publications.

Additional Information:

Department: School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 annually for a 9-month academic appointment.
