About the Role

Homeless Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Coordinator and Donor Development Manager to join our Development Team. This is a full-time, exempt position in our Cedar Knolls, NJ Administrative offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of creative and successful in-person and hybrid events to advance Homeless Solutions' brand and presence in the community.
  • Donor Engagement and Stewardship: Develop and manage strong and effective volunteer committees and successfully steward committees (or committee members) from volunteer to donor and beyond.
  • Fundraising and Revenue Growth: Work with the Chief Development Officer to recruit Event committees and set fundraising goals for each event through a variety of sources, including sponsorship and solicitation strategy, auction, raffles, etc.
  • Event Budgeting and Analytics: Prepare and manage event budgets and analytical reports to ensure successful events and maximize revenue growth.
  • Audio/Visual and Logistics: Manage and plan all audio/visual components required by specific event needs, including working with applicable vendors, staff, and volunteers to ensure success.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the Fund Development staff on marketing, promotional materials, communication, and follow-up for all events, and other organizational staff as related to client, staff, and honoree involvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of an Associate's degree, with a BA preferred; applicable work experience may be substituted.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years, proven success in a fundraising environment with event management and communications skills and ability to lead volunteers or teams.
  • Skills: Highly self-motivated, deadline-driven, and experienced in managing multiple priorities; excellent organizational and time management skills and strong attention to detail; experienced and adept in use of various technology, including all Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with Blackbaud, WordPress, Canva, and OneCause are a plus.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, proven ability to work effectively leading and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Physical Abilities: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
