About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Campaign Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Advancement services professionals in support of Advancement strategy for the engagement and cultivation of Tuck alumni.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Advancement services professionals in support of Advancement strategy for the engagement and cultivation of Tuck alumni.
- Develop and implement effective collaboration and donor-centric approaches to ensure that activities related to dean deployment, donor engagement, data integrity, and event and communications services are conducted efficiently and consistently with a high standard of accuracy and excellence.
- Partner with the Advancement leadership team to implement strategy, develop systems and services to support initiatives, and conduct analysis to inform decision making.
- Collaborate with several departments across Dartmouth and Tuck to ensure the effective use of technology, reporting tools, and alumni management systems to track solicitation strategies, process philanthropic commitments, and manage alumni engagement opportunities.
- Provide support for all hands events such as reunions.
- Oversee campaign tracking, conduct forecasting, monitor progress against goals, and analyze data and metrics in support of Advancement priorities.
- Serve as project manager for special projects and large-scale communications such as annual fund solicitations and stewardship reports.
- Seek out, apply, and share knowledge of higher education fundraising trends and innovations through market research, engagement with peer networks and professional associations, and continuing education opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus 6 or more years of experience or combination of education and experience.
- Experience and skill successfully managing advancement systems and processes for nonprofit organizations.
- Proficiency with alumni/donor management systems (e.g., Ellucian Advance).
- Familiarity with stewardship, prospect management, and alumni and donor engagement.
- Supervisory experience and/or experience leading a high-performing project team.
- Knowledge of higher education alumni relations and philanthropy gained through a combination of a liberal arts or business education, continuing education in philanthropy, and/or relevant work or volunteer experience.
- Strong data fluency and analytical skills.
- Strong project management, organization, data management, and analytical skills.
- Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.
- Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of donors and colleagues.
- Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
- Able to collaborate effectively with Tuck and Dartmouth colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Able to proactively identify and pursue relevant learning and professional development opportunities and apply new knowledge, insights, and skills to enhance results.
