Position Overview

Team Overview
The North America Value-Added Services (VAS) Commercial Operations team is responsible for establishing a unified, globally consistent strategy and operational model for Sales and Commercial operations.

Our focus encompasses six key functional areas:
  • Management of sales pipeline and forecasting of new sales, net revenue, and performance metrics.
  • Strategic planning, including goal setting and revenue outlooks, identifying risks and opportunities, and executing ad hoc projects to enhance revenue growth and product adoption.
  • Business Analysis concentrating on trends, data analytics, dashboards, and sales tools.
  • Business Planning aimed at optimizing sales processes, governance of sales cadence, territory management, and business operations, including risk and audit activities.
  • Sales Incentive Planning, collaborating with the Sales Compensation team to influence sales behavior through incentive programs and quota performance.
  • Sales Enablement, focusing on training and the adoption of best practices in sales.
What the Analyst of North America VAS Sales and Operations does at Visa:
The Analyst will assist in the execution of effective sales and commercial strategies to stimulate revenue growth and broaden our business model within the region. Additionally, the role will involve developing and implementing transformative projects aimed at enhancing our Sales and Commercial Operations processes for optimal sales execution. The position will collaborate closely with regional VAS leaders across various functions to implement and streamline systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in individual pipeline reviews and updates, along with VAS monthly outlooks.
  • Support quarterly and annual revenue and pipeline forecasting and goal-setting in partnership with Sales Leadership and Finance.
  • Conduct ad-hoc projects, including analyses for initiatives aimed at driving revenue and pipeline growth.
  • Facilitate quota setting and collaborate with the compensation team to align plans and quotas at the individual level, addressing any inquiries.
  • Assist in preparing for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) for various internal updates.
  • Support regional collections efforts to enhance cash flow.
  • Engage in sales planning and territory management.
  • Partner with Sales Operations Support to streamline operations and promote consistency and efficiency in the sales process.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or over 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
• 3-5 years of experience, particularly in financial management and strategic sales operations planning within a B2B high-growth sales environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Business/Finance or a related field.
• Data-driven mindset with robust analytical skills to influence pipeline and revenue outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships within a complex, matrixed organization, collaborating across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product, Technology, and Customer Service teams at various levels.
• Results-oriented, organized, capable of managing multiple urgent tasks, and adept at navigating ambiguity.
• Proficient in CRM systems (MSFT Dynamics), MSFT Excel/PowerPoint, and Tableau.
• Familiarity with the electronic payments industry, its products, services, and technologies is advantageous but not essential.
• A keen interest and intellectual curiosity regarding the global financial system, FinTech, and business models.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.

Travel Requirements: This position may require travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This role will be performed in an office environment, requiring the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and via telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.
