Seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Sesamo, a unique Italian-Asian fusion restaurant aiming for Michelin-level standards. We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Sous Chef with a fine dining background to support our Executive Chef in leading the kitchen and maintaining quality. This is a five-day-a-week role requiring hard work and commitment to excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Station Mastery: Work across all stations, ensuring every plate meets high standards.
  • Showcase Your Skills: Bring culinary expertise to each dish, helping elevate our menu and set a benchmark for creativity and precision.
  • Service Leadership: Act as expeditor during service, coordinating timing and quality control to deliver a seamless dining experience.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Work closely with the Executive Chef to handle ingredient sourcing, inventory, and ordering.
  • Mentor and Train the Team: Play a crucial role in training and mentoring line cooks and junior staff.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate on menu creation, bringing new ideas and innovations to our fusion concept.
  • Efficient Daily Operations: Oversee kitchen prep, service, and closing procedures to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workspace.
