Training and Development Opportunities

Rochester Regional Health offers paid Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) Training, a five-week program that combines classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experiences. This free training program includes an education stipend to support you while you're training. Upon completion, trainees will be eligible for employment in our long-term care facilities.

As a C.N.A. Trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. This transitional, entry-level position is designed to train you on the necessary skills required to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, toileting, feeding, and transferring

  • Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any concerns to the supervising nurse

  • Engage residents in conversations and activities, promoting their involvement and independence

  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting

Education and Certifications

A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential for success in this role.
