About the EMT Training Program:
The EMT Training Program at American Medical Response is a unique opportunity for individuals interested in a rewarding career in pre-hospital medicine. As an EMT, you will provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system.
This comprehensive program includes a rigorous eight-week training period, during which you will learn the skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible to take the New York State Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician exam.
The program is designed to provide a clear path to employment as an EMT with American Medical Response. Upon successful completion of the program and the state certification exam, you will be assigned to a full-time shift and complete new employee training.

Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have proof of a high school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Have all required immunizations
- Successfully complete the pre-employment screening, which includes motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing, and a physical agility test
