Volunteer Coordinator Job Description

At Episcopal SeniorLife Communities, we are seeking a skilled Volunteer Coordinator to support our volunteer efforts across various communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volunteer management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, screen, and place volunteers in site-specific activities and recreational programs that support resident life and individual resident needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical data and activity reports on volunteer participation.
  • Conduct volunteer satisfaction surveys and address issues or concerns, making necessary course corrections.
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote volunteer opportunities and showcase volunteer activities.
  • Coordinate volunteer events, including United Way Day of Caring and National Make A Difference Day.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience working with volunteers and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in healthcare or human services.
  • Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as good organizational and prioritization skills.

Working Conditions:
The majority of essential job duties are performed indoors in a normal office environment. The employee may be exposed to temperature fluctuations.
