Client Support Specialist

Location: Full-Time/Regular

Key Responsibilities:

This position is essential for addressing and resolving a wide range of inquiries, requests, and challenges from both external and internal clients within a call center setting.

Deliver information regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, authorizations, and other related matters through phone communication and in-person interactions.

Investigate and resolve issues related to claims and authorizations, while keeping track of progress.

Analyze and resolve complex eligibility concerns, ensuring timely follow-up.

Generate necessary documentation, including but not limited to call logs and various tracking systems.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Medi-Cal programs.
  • Understanding of managed care.
  • Knowledge of medical policy benefits and exclusions.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • At least one year of experience managing a high volume of calls daily.
  • At least one year in a customer service-oriented role (including food service, retail, or similar).

Preferred:

  • Associate degree.
  • Experience in customer service within a health plan, managed care, and/or Medi-Cal.
  • Fluency in key threshold languages (such as Spanish).
