Role Overview: As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will work under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans in various settings, including clients' homes and community environments. Your role will involve assisting clients in developing essential skills such as communication, social interactions, and daily living activities while also addressing and reducing challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to clients' residences and community locations to provide direct services.
  • Engage in one-on-one sessions with children and adolescents to execute behavioral strategies.
  • Involve families and caregivers in therapy sessions as outlined in treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of data collection and service documentation.
  • Receive continuous support and mentorship from GOALS supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs and a high degree of patience.
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to provide a negative TB test result.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; college credits or a degree is preferred.
  • Experience in childcare or working with special needs populations is advantageous.
  • Availability during weekdays is preferred.
