Job Description

Cumberland Additive Inc is seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality management system, inspecting and testing all CAI parts for defects and deviations according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the Quality Management System across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and Conduct Management Reviews to ensure the quality management system is effective and efficient.
  • Conduct Document Review, Internal Audits, and Management Reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage the Calibration Program to ensure all tools are calibrated and meet industry standards.
  • Coordinate with Customer First Article Inspection Report (AS9102) and Source Inspection to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Provide Guidance and Leadership to all QC personnel, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Work Closely with Operations to ensure goals are met and alignment between departments is maintained.
  • Manage and Monitor the Return Material Authorization (RMA) Process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage and Monitor the NCR Outcome, Root Cause, and Corrective Actions to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Prepare the Company and Each Site for Customer and SQA Audit to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure Parts are Inspected to Applicable Standards, Specifications, and Engineering Drawings to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Train Subordinates and New-Hires to ensure best-practices are maintained in company culture.
  • Maintain Required Attendance and Punctuality as scheduled to meet production goals.
  • Oversee the Flow of Product through his/her area of responsibility.
  • Deliver Operational Excellence through focused and quality performance.
  • Perform Other Functions and Responsibilities as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering on supplier audits and evaluations.
Technical Requirements:
  • Possess Working Knowledge and Ability to Use Precision Measuring Instruments, Gages, and Hand Tools to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Minimum of 4 Years of Experience with ISO 9001/AS 9100 to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Certified AS9100 Internal Auditor (Preferred) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Experience Completing AS9102 Form (Preferred) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Experience Completing FAIR on Net-Inspect (Preferred) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Verify First Article Pieces and Generate FAI Reports, as Needed to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Previous Experience (Five Plus Years) as an Inspector in a Manufacturing Setting to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Two Plus Years of Supervisory Experience to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Completion of Certified Quality Inspector Certification (Preferred) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to Read, Write, and Speak the English Language Fluently to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to Perform Basic Computer Skills, Including Microsoft Word and Excel to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to Successfully Manage Multiple Tasks and Timelines in a Fast-Paced Environment to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to Liaise Professionally with Team Members and System Users to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to Perform Assigned Tasks with Moderate Supervision to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Cognitive Skills to Include the Ability to Learn, to Process Thoughts and Apply Knowledge, to Analyze and Reason, and to Evaluate and Make Appropriate Decisions to Achieve Business Goals and Solve Problems to ensure quality standards are met.
Physical Requirements:
  • Operate Basic Office Machines, Such as a Computer, Copy Machine, Fax, Scanner, etc. to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Push/Pull Heavy Objects with the Proper Equipment (Up to 50 Lbs.) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment by following standards and procedures and comply with legal regulations while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.
  • Work in a Standing/Sitting Environment; Up to 8-12 Hours a Day to ensure quality standards are met.
