Clinical Psychometric Evaluator

Position Summary:
The Clinical Psychometric Evaluator plays a crucial role in the assessment and interpretation of both quantitative and qualitative evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on exploring pharmaceutical interventions for various cognitive and mental health conditions, including but not limited to Alzheimer's disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Depression, Anxiety, and Parkinson's Disease. This role is pivotal in ensuring that data collection aligns with the core values and mission of K2 STAFFING LLC, as well as adhering to specific guidelines for scale administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cognitive, diagnostic, and clinical evaluations of participants in clinical trials, including caregiver interviews, under the supervision of a Principal Investigator, following FDA, GCP, and protocol standards.
- Work diligently to maintain consistency in assessment performance over time for individual subjects to ensure reliability and mitigate rater drift.
- Communicate effectively regarding rating issues with CROs, Sponsors, Principal Investigators, and other study team members.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of visit sources and sponsor-required information.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and feedback related to assessment evaluations.
- Prioritize subject safety by assessing potential risks and reporting them according to company policy.
- Facilitate effective communication with participants, study staff, referral sources, Sponsors, CROs, Monitors, Auditors, and any central rating groups engaged by the Sponsor.
- Address all study queries in a timely manner.
- Administer and score psychometric assessments for clinical trial participants according to the study protocol's visit schedule.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Conduct telephone screenings and pre-screens as necessary.
- Administer protocol-specific scales and evaluate results to determine eligibility under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
- Provide suitable community resource referrals to participants, caregivers, and families as needed.
- Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- A strong interest in cognitive and mental health research, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with dedicated professionals.
- Demonstrated situational awareness and empathy while working with individuals with diminished mental capacity within research protocol guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational capabilities.
- Consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with company policy and relevant regulations.
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills.
- Ability to support and embody the mission and objectives of K2 STAFFING LLC.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
Educational Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology is required; a Master's degree is strongly preferred. Certification as a Psychometrist is recommended.
- At least two years of experience in psychometric and/or clinical research.
- Experience with cognitive assessments in adult and geriatric populations is essential.
- Previous clinical research experience is preferred.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
