Position Summary:
The Clinical Psychometric Evaluator plays a crucial role in the administration and interpretation of both quantitative and qualitative assessments within a clinical team focused on researching pharmaceutical interventions for various cognitive and mental health conditions, including but not limited to Alzheimer's disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Depression, Anxiety, and Parkinson's Disease. This role is pivotal in ensuring that data collection aligns with the core values and mission of K2 STAFFING LLC, as well as adhering to specific guidelines for scale administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cognitive, diagnostic, and clinical evaluations of participants in clinical trials, including caregiver interviews, under the supervision of a Principal Investigator, in compliance with FDA, GCP, and protocol standards.
- Work diligently to maintain consistency in rating performance over time for individual subjects, ensuring reliability and preventing rater drift.
- Communicate effectively regarding rating issues with CROs, Sponsors, Principal Investigators, and other study team members.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of visit sources and sponsor-required information.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and feedback related to assessment ratings.
- Safeguard participant well-being by assessing and addressing any potential risks to self or others, reporting as per company policy.
- Facilitate efficient and professional communication with study participants, staff, referral sources, Sponsors, CROs, and any monitoring or auditing entities.
- Address all study queries in a timely manner.
- Administer and score psychometric assessments for clinical trial participants according to the study protocol visit schedule.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Conduct telephone screenings and pre-screens as necessary.
- Administer protocol-specific scales and evaluate results to determine eligibility under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
- Provide appropriate referrals to community resources for participants, caregivers, and families as needed.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A strong interest in cognitive and mental health research, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment alongside dedicated professionals.
- Demonstrated situational awareness and empathy when interacting with patients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
- Consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills.
- Ability to align with and promote the mission and objectives of K2 STAFFING LLC.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Educational Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology is required; a Master's degree is strongly preferred. Certification as a Psychometrist is recommended.
- At least two years of experience in psychometric and/or clinical research.
- Experience conducting cognitive assessments with adult and geriatric populations is essential.
- Previous clinical research experience is preferred.
- Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
