Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accountant to join our team at Employ-Temps Staffing Services. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll, daily accounting functions, and additional accounting activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Management: Oversee the entire payroll process, including inputting payroll data, ensuring timely and complete timecard submittal, and coordinating with the branch team.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax compliance.
  • Accounting Operations: Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Human Resources Support: Coordinate with senior management on daily HR activities, including benefits management, compliance, employee relations management, and documentation.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Payroll Processing: Coordinate payroll processing, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions, and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Analysis and Insights: Provide payroll and tax compliance analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, accounting.
  • Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software, strong understanding of payroll processing and tax compliance, expertise in HR administration, management, and application of HR principles within an organization.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
