Senior Tax Compliance Analyst for Federal and State

This role is pivotal in managing all facets of U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance, reporting directly to the U.S. Tax Principal.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance Management: Oversee the preparation of federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns along with estimated payments. This includes the preparation and reconciliation of federal calculations, state apportionment data, tax credits, and attributes, covering all aspects of income tax, property tax, and sales and use tax compliance.
- Tax Provision Preparation: Collaborate with global tax team members to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of ASC 740 income tax calculations for U.S. income taxes, including the review of current and deferred income taxes and effective tax rate inputs.
- Accruals Management: Assist in the preparation of the Company's U.S. federal accruals, state property tax, franchise tax, and sales & use tax accruals by analyzing all tax accounts and preparing journal entries to support accurate balances.
- Tax Planning Implementation: Contribute to the execution of tax planning strategies aimed at minimizing the cash and earnings impact of tax expenses. Work closely with the Tax team to ensure the coordination of tax implications from operations and business structuring while identifying key risks related to tax operations for compliance and financial reporting.
- Audit Support: Provide assistance during tax audits by preparing responses to tax authority information requests and coordinating with tax authorities alongside global tax team members for federal and state income tax, property tax, and sales and use tax audits. Compile summaries of audit status and assist in developing audit defense strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience (or 3 years with a master's degree) in industry and/or public accounting firm, with a strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local taxation.
- Experience with U.S. GAAP ASC 740 is required, and familiarity with SEC regulations is preferred.
