Position Overview

Garibaldi Glass Industries Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize HubSpot CRM to track business interactions and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop and execute an annual sales strategy, aligning with company objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our territories and engage with all accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct client visits to identify opportunities, build relationships, and negotiate deals that support revenue growth.
  • Coordinate lunch and learn sessions with customers and industry professionals.
  • Assist clients in specifying requirements based on our latest product knowledge.
  • Execute and achieve sales targets.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of our customer base and develop targeted sales strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a high degree of product and industry knowledge.

Communication

  • Deliver training to customers and industry professionals, showcasing our position as a leader in marine and architectural glass.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, providing feedback on market conditions, competitors, and recent successes.
  • Maintain a professional attitude in meetings with customers and colleagues.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education.
  • 5-7 years of full-cycle sales experience, including customer acquisition, retention, upselling, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Proven record of overachieving sales quotas.
  • Experience in creating strategies and managing outcomes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Effective communication and business acumen.
  • Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
  • B2B sales experience.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Technical aptitude to understand, advise, and train on products.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivation, and drive.
  • Ability to provide creative solutions for win-win relationships.

Critical Success Factors

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets as outlined in the annual sales strategy.
  • Identify and win business from new customers through a consistent sales funnel.
  • Assist in developing a marketing plan that supports the annual sales plan.
  • Assist in developing and delivering targeted marketing initiatives and measuring success through competitive analysis.

Working Conditions

This position works primarily remotely and partially in an office environment with occasional time spent in a manufacturing environment. Client job sites may be indoor or outdoor environments with exposure to dirt, dust, and weather elements.

Travel

Travel may fluctuate throughout the year, primarily within North America and/or local.

Compensation

Ranges depending on experience. This role will participate in a commission plan and a comprehensive benefits plan.
