Lead Respiratory Therapy Supervisor

Position Overview
The Lead Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Respiratory Department within the South Texas Health System. This role includes ensuring high-quality therapeutic respiratory interventions for patients and facilitating essential procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the Respiratory Department to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as required for patient care.
- Coordinate and assist in conducting bronchoscopy procedures to support diagnostic and therapeutic needs.
- Facilitate new employee orientation, training sessions, performance evaluations, and ongoing staff development initiatives.
- Manage the inventory, procurement, and maintenance of respiratory equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with cardiopulmonary services to enhance patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with organizational objectives.
- Ensure adherence to established facility policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals.
- Proven leadership abilities and a commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Educational qualifications in respiratory care.
- Valid licensure and relevant certifications in the field.
