Position Summary

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? We seek empathetic and committed individuals who aim to empower youth and families through sustainable, strength-based behavioral changes that endure beyond treatment.

As a Clinical Therapist, you will receive continuous training in the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model while collaborating with families, youth, their communities, and other vital stakeholders to implement MST effectively. Extensive research supports the efficacy of MST. Our therapists work diligently, engaging with all parties involved to address the needs of juveniles facing criminal challenges, including substance abuse in certain cases. You will assist families in tackling difficult behaviors and guiding youth towards transformative life changes. Progress is achieved through intensive interventions such as skill development, modifying unproductive family dynamics, and enhancing social support networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct clinical services utilizing the MST treatment framework, emphasizing strengths and positive outcomes, understanding behavioral sequences, and promoting mature behaviors.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients and their families, gathering pertinent information regarding concerning behaviors and strengths to inform treatment strategies.
  • Engage effectively with a diverse clientele.
  • Possess knowledge of the various family structures within the community.
  • Actively involve primary caregivers, family members, and community agency staff (including schools, probation, and child welfare) in treatment focused on positive change.
  • Commit to weekly case planning and progress evaluations, supported by your supervisor and team.
  • Participate in regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation to enhance your clinical skills within the MST model.
  • Ensure that clients have access to support 24/7 as necessary, in collaboration with fellow clinicians.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Licensure is mandatory.
  • Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish are preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for client home visits.
  • Residency within a 30-45 minute travel radius from the designated service area is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with pragmatic family therapies (structural, strategic, and functional).
  • Therapeutic work with children and adults utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques.
  • Couples therapy employing behaviorally-based methods.
  • Implementation of interventions within the youth's natural environment (family, peers, school, and community).
  • Collaboration with community agencies.
  • Prior experience providing in-home or community-based therapeutic services.

Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package including 401K, Dental, Health, Flexible Schedule, Flexible Spending Account, Employee Assistance Program, Paid Time Off, Professional Development Assistance, Retirement Plan, Tuition Reimbursement, and Vision.

At Evidence Based Associates, our mission is to empower families and strengthen communities through the high-quality implementation of evidence-based programs (EBPs). We focus on the behind-the-scenes implementation issues to ensure that EBPs and community-based providers shine in their roles. With over 15 years of experience, we have supported numerous states and counties in juvenile justice, child welfare, and behavioral health.

Our project support services address common implementation challenges, including:

  • System Assessment: Identifying gaps or needs in current service systems.
  • Readiness Support: Preparing providers and stakeholders for EBPs.
  • Program Implementation: Ensuring high fidelity in implementation.
  • Service Coordination: Matching the right services at the right time for children, youth, and families.

Our interdisciplinary team, with backgrounds in social services, juvenile justice, evidence-based programs, information technology, and human resources, brings over 150 years of combined experience in clinical services and program management related to community-based and evidence-based programs.
