Position Overview
PPLM is seeking an experienced HR Operations Specialist to enhance our Human Resources team. This role is integral to ensuring that our HR operations align with the strategic objectives of our health care facilities across Massachusetts.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive employee records in both electronic and physical formats, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Organize and facilitate New Hire Onboarding processes, guaranteeing timely and accurate completion.
- Manage all aspects of workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA, and leaves of absence.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Provide support for Payroll administration as needed.
- Track and ensure completion of training compliance for all staff using our learning management system.
- Coordinate performance management reviews and related activities in a timely manner.
- Prepare employment status reports for various purposes including payroll and compliance.
- Assist in scheduling interviews, drafting offer letters, and conducting reference and background checks as required.
- Communicate HR policies and procedures effectively to empower our employees in delivering high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
- Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems is preferred.
